Mena Alexandra suvari, born on February 13, 1979, in America is an actor as well as a fashion designer and model. After beginning her career as a model she soon transitioned into acting after appearing in guest roles on 1990's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. She debuted in film with the drama Nowhere, which was released in 1997. Her performances were in American Beauty, for which she was awarded a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie led to her being the subject of more attention. She has appeared with the co-star of American Pie Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) before starring as the main character for the film Sugar & Spice (2001). Her appearances were in the independent 2002 drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. She appeared in HBO's dramatic show Six Feet Under. In 2004, she was recognized as the Outstanding Cast Member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was featured in several movies including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as in the adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari was model for Lancome Paris Adaptive model and Lancome Paris cosmetics print ad Suvari has appeared in a variety of fashion blogs and magazines including Vogue. She is a long-time advocate and supporter of the esteemed African relief organisation, The African Medical and Research Foundation.
